If you want to begin a Singles
group at your church here is my advice: meet once a week,
get special speakers and musicians, don't sing and pray for an
hour. Singles can find a good church, they don't need
another service.
If you're the leader: don't do
all the talking and don't get too long and cutesy (men won't
come and then the women drop out)
Have a suggestion box and
carefully consider the suggestions you receive.
Have a good email list, and once
every two weeks let them know what is happening and where you
will go out for dinner.
Have a potluck every month.
If you cancel for any reason
(i.e. Christmas or Easter) you will never have a successful
singles group.
Keep the meetings in one place -
don't move around to different locations.
Deal wisely and prayerfully with
the leaders of the church that houses your meetings. Be
sure that your events are beneficial both to your group and to
the church.
Keep the meetings to an hour in
length - then have a great time of fellowship after!
I consider Christian Cafe to be
the best dating web site - though it is not cheap.
